Promoter of Shree Siddhi Vinayak Relators Arrested For Cheating Homebuyers of Rs. 400 Crore

Harender Tomer,  a resident of Dwarka, has been arrested who has cheated many homebuyers in the name of Land Pooling policy of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and collected Rs. 400 Crores from about 4000 Buyers in the name of land cost.

He was absconding from long time, and was arrested at Kochi Airport in Kerala while trying to flee to Maldives.


Joint Commissioner of Police (Economic Offences Wing) Mr. O P Sharma said, the accused along with his associates formed a company named "Shree Siddhi Vinayak Realtors and Securities" and purchased land from farmers and then sold the same to Revanta Society at a price 2 to 3 times more than his purchase price.

 

During investigation by Police , it has surfaced that about Rs 120 Crores was transferred from the bank a/c  of Revanta Society to the Bank a/c of company i.e. "Shree Siddhi Vinayak Realtors and Securities" against which only 11.77 Acres of land was transferred to the society and the remaining amount was misappropriated and siphoned off to various other entities and for personal use.

Police also said that, Three more persons have already been arrested in this case, and further investigation is in progress.
